"I'll Have the #3" Omelet.

Super sized. Hold the pickles. And the onions. And the mayo. And the lettuce. And the tomato. In fact, just mash it all up, throw it in an omelet and call it good. Very, very good.

I'll have the #3 Omelet

Ingredients:

Leftover cheeseburger (or turkey burger!)
Leftover Tater tots
American Cheese
Ketchup
Mustard
Basic Omelet

Throw the chop down on your burger. Smash up the tots. Throw in the microwave. Start burning that omelet and when you have flipped that sucker, toss a few slices of cheese down and stuff it to the gills. Fold, plate, squirt some ketchup and mustard on it. Wrap it up in some parchment paper, throw it in a paper sack. Get in your car, drive to the nearest parking lot and then NOMS, dropping everything on your lap and all over your seat. You forgot the napkins, so use your kids sweater in the back seat to clean up your mess. You are thirsty. You realize someone forgot your soda. Drive back home and demand it, free of charge. Put the lid on wrong so when you pick it up it pulls off dropping the entire cup onto your floorboard, on your dash, and into the little crevices not even microscopic soda eating bacteria can fit into. Curse loudly. Run back in the house to change your clothes. Throw a towel on the wet seat and go on about your day.

One of these things look a little out of place!

Your entire daily value of calories on one plate!

Eye SEE YOU!!!

I put too much milk in the mix.. see the edges, how scrambly and ugly they are?

When you use too much milk this is what happens on the flip. SO close to a scramble I shivered a little.

EYE see you tooo!!!!

Nothing a little cheese can't repair though!

Like every other red-blooded American, I take my super sized #3 with a DIET Pepsi! Of course!

My review:

I have made this omelet SO many times. It is one of my absolute favorites! BUT today, thanks to a suggestion by Deniz, one of my loyal readers, I added ketchup for the first time. And some mustard too, as this is my normal burger moisture of choice. It is exactly what it had been missing all along! It was excellent.. not to surprising flavor wise... it tasted exactly as expected! But that's what I was shooting for, so GO me!

All American Omelet

What is the first image that came to your mind when you read that title "All American?" I would put money down that you conjured up a vision of sitting at a baseball game waving a blue and red pennant and munching on a hot dog. Or perhaps, you envisioned a succulent, steaming apple pie cooling in the window at your Grandmother's house. Or a giant slice of watermelon dripping down your child's hand as they run circles around the picnic table at your Fourth of July family reunion. Let me tell you what I see when I think of "All American:" I think of a hearty meatloaf served with a heaping bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy. Biscuits and sweet peas swimming in a pool of butter entice the family to the table with eager anticipation.

Your family's meatloaf recipe is a personal as a dish can get. Your meatloaf recipe was handed down from Grandparents passed...tweeked and rejuvenated to fit the liking of the individual member's of your own immediate family. It is the ultimate comfort food. The most requested birthday meal. One could argue that this is the meal that is sure to bring every member to the table with a smile.

Reader's, get your meatloaf on tonight. And tomorrow relive the whole experience again by putting it in an omelet.

Master Food Taster Everit is useless before his morning cup O' Joe

Packaged Gravy looks like homemade, tastes like homemade, and I call that Good in my book!

The delicate balance of omelet and filling... SHATTERED by this behemoth!

#*#*#*#* TIP OF THE DAY: Eggs are only 70 calories a piece! Not too shabby!  #*#*#*#

Stromboli Omelet

You COULD call it a pizza omelet. I would not be offended if you did. But it is SO much more than just pizza. This is a bachelor's dream. This is the ONE omelet your kids might eat. This omelet is AS WE SPEAK, repairing tears in the time-space continuum. This omelet could potentially bring peace to the earth as we know it. This omelet has cat's and dog's enjoying each other's company. This omelet vacuumed my floor this morning. So, you call call it pizza, but really shouldn't something THIS life changing have a better name? I think so.

Stromboli Omelet

Ingredients:

ground beef
ground Italian sausage
pepperoni
pizza sauce
mozzarella cheese
Basic Omelet

Brown your ground beef and sausage together in same pan. Drain meat very well and set aside. Prepare your basic omelet. On the flip, add an obscene amount of Mozzarella and then layer one half of omelet with the pepperoni. Fill with meat mixture and fold. Sprinkle top with more cheese, and then drizzle pizza sauce on top. Then allow your mind to be blown.

Yes that is pre shredded cheese. You caught me. I cheated.

Bubble Bubble noms and trouble.

Looks like a pizza, smells like a pizza! But it's an OMELET!!!

HEY JOEE! Nice pizza you got there! The boss, he wants to talk to you!

#*#*#*#* TIP OF THE DAY: Omelet's are good ANY time of the day!  #*#*#*#
My Review:
Let it be known that while I enjoy pizza now and again I am really not a huge fan. And I was SURE that this would just go on my list as "done" and I would never make it again. MISTAKEN. This is now one of my top 5. I cannot even begin to explain how incredible the eggs blend with the pizza flavor. I assumed that the filling would just overwhelm it all, but I was wrong. The flavor of the omelet itself really stands out and makes for an unbelievably delicious combination. MAKE THIS OMELET!

Tacoooomelet!!!

After yesterday's heart attack on a plate I figured I had best redeem myself (and my arteries) with some vegetables. Now don't think I am getting all healthy on you... there is still taco meat and sour cream and cheese to counteract all the healthy affects those veggies may have! Safety first!

You will have to work a little harder for this omelet today. But I promise the extra effort is SO worth it. And we are gonna switch up the OG omelet method just a bit! Keeping you on your toes today!

**READ THIS BEFORE COOKING**

**I strongly urge you to not skip sauteing your vegetables. This process not only helps keep the texture more desirable but the saute really bring the flavors to life.

**ALSO... this will be a difficult omelet to flip due to it being heavier. COOK AT A LOWER TEMPERATURE THAN NORMAL. This will ensure a well cooked (but not scorched) and more easily flippable omelet.

Tacoooomelet!

Ingredients:

1 green onion
orange bell pepper
yellow bell pepper
zucchini squash
taco meat
cheddar cheese
sour cream
3 eggs
2 tbs butter
pat o butter
salt and pepper to taste
splash of milk

You will need:  One additional pan! WOW! Two pans? It's such a risky morning!!!

Wash and Prepare your veggies first! Slice onion (use the green ends as well!) and peppers to desired size (smaller is preferable) and set aside. Using a cheese grater, grate desired amount of zucchini onto a paper towel. Fold you paper towel in half and press out as much moisture from the zucchini as possible. Set aside.
Pre heat a pan and melt butter. Add all veggies and saute until onions are clear, OR to desired consistency. Remove from heat and set aside. Prepare your eggs, salt, pepper and milk into your normal omelet mixture... but THIS TIME!  OOHHH.. ADD the veggies directly into the eggs and whisk until blended in!  Pour into preheated and well buttered pan and cook on a LOW to MEDIUM HEAT. Be patient with this one! It's gonna take a little longer to cook, but as read above it's necessary. Microwave your taco meat. Flip your omelet, add cheese and filling. Fold, and garnish with a little cheese and a dollop of fresh sour cream!

Oooh isn't that pretty? All, colorful and whatnots.

Chopped and Prepped for butter immersion!

Yeah, it looks alot like fake rubber vomit. Let's just hope it doesn't taste like it!

I am a little proud of myself for not destroying this one on the flip!

Stuffed to the gills with lots of THRILLS!!!

Wow. This is really beautiful. I had a hard time eating it. NO... that's a total lie. I inhaled it.

#*#*#*#* TIP OF THE DAY: Use a WIIIIDE spatula for the flip of the omelet! It covers more surface area and will make it easier to get a good flip and reduce tearing.  #*#*#*#

MY REVIEW:
NOMS NOMS NOMS NOMS NOMS NOMS NOMS  NOMS NOMS NOMS. To date, my MOST FAVORITE OMELET EVER. Just *sniff*  so *sniff sniff* OMG I can't even talk about it right now. *Sniff*  Just make it and you will see. *Sniff*  *Sniff* I am too overcome with emotion. *Sniff*

If you even make just ONE just ONE of my omelets, this should be the one.
